25 bands to the final round of the band competition

More than 900 bands signed up for this year's competition, and out of them we choose 135 for the first voting round.

The 25 bands that got most votes have now moved on to the final voting round, which will start February 1st at 9 AM.

The three bands with the most votes in the final round will play at Sweden Rock Festival 2017!


Besides, we will also hand out a "Wild Card" to one of the 25 bands. More information about the Wild Card will be given later on during winter/spring.

The following bands are ready for the final: 3rd Machine (The Netherlands), Astrakhan (Sweden), Black Magic Fools (Sweden), Cadaveria (Italy), Cloudscape (Sweden), Countless Goodbyes (Finland), Crystal Ball (Switzerland, Deadlocked (Sweden), Destiny (Sweden), Emma Varg (Sweden), Escaping Amenti (Sweden), Eyes Wide Open (Sweden), Ira Green (Italy), Karavan (Sweden), Knogjärn (Sweden), Lucer (Denmark), Permian Incident (Norway), Stacie Collins (USA),Subliminal Fear (Italy), Subztain (Sweden), Supralunar (Sweden), The Tip (USA), The Unguided (Sweden), Violet Janine (Sweden), Waltari (Finland).

A big congratulations to the bands that made it to the final round - and to all bands who signed up. The overall quality was very high this year! The band that have moved on to the final round will be contacted by us soon.

Another six bands confirmed! KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, IN THIS MOMENT, SHOOTER JENNINGS, MADAM X and BRIAN DOWNEY's ALIVE AND DANGEROU S are all confirmed for Sweden Rock Festival 2018. American Killswitch Engage rank among the biggest names in modern metal and are touring as direct support to Iron Maiden in Europe this summer. Naturally, this will also bring them to Sweden Rock!
