Combining heavy metal with electronic dance rhythms was an original idea when PAIN debuted in 1997. Since then the band, centered around Peter Tägtgren (well-known Swedish producer and frontman of death metal heroes Hypocrisy) has enjoyed great success, not least with singles like "End of the line", "Shut your mouth" and "Same old song". Abroad PAIN has gained popularity with every release, so the imminent arrival of ninth album "I Am", a whole eight years after its predecessor "Coming home", it is highly anticipated indeed.
