Wilmer X to make comeback at Sweden Rock Festival

WilmerX.pngGroovy rhythm'n'blues, filthy garage rock, raw blues and sticky pop choruses. That is the foundation on which the career of Swedish rock institution Wilmer X rests. A musical journey that will see its 40th anniversary in 2018.

"We play rock in the most narrow-minded and traditional way possible. It is all we know, and it is all we want to do". A classic quote by front man Nisse Hellberg that Wilmer X has certainly lived by throughout the years.

The band's last concert, seven years ago, was their 999th show ever. Naturally, that's no way to end the count, so in time for their 40th anniversary Wilmer X will play their 1000th show ever, at Sweden Rock Festival on Saturday, June 9th. The show will be followed by a tour of Sweden. The band still sports their classic line-up of Nisse Hellberg, Jalle Lorensson, Thomas Holst and Sticky Bomb.

EXTREMELY DRY GROUNDS AND PLANS The wonderful weather here in Sweden has made the ground and plants extremely dry. The local fire-fighting authorities have therefore asked us to appeal to all festival visitors to be EXTREMELY careful with all kinds of fire or flammable materials/equipment. Many people need to coexist in a small area here at the festival, and a fire in for instance a camp site could spread very rapidly. For everyone's safety, please note that neither disposable BBQs/grills nor electric generators are allowed. Furthermore, you can ONLY BBQ on the pre-prepared areas, where there is personnel to monitor the fire and extinguishing equipment available....

On Tuesday and Wednesday, everyone holding a 4-day, 3-day or Wednesday ticket can make their exchange. If you have a 1-day ticket for Thursday, Friday or Saturday, you need to wait to...
