It was with great sadness that we last night received word that Lemmy Kilmister has passed away. It is hard to take in that this singer basist - who basically defined the very concept of rock'n'roll for so many years - is now gone. Motörhead has played Sweden Rock Festival more times than any other band - not less than eight times, the latest being 2012. Today is a sad day, but on suggestion from the other Motörhead band members we choose to honor Lemmy by playing his music and raising a toast in his honor. We are grateful for his lifework and his visits to Sölvesborg, and we are glad that he was able to do what he loves all the way to the end. Rest in peace, Lemmy. And thanks for everything.

CONFIRMED: TALISMAN - A TRIBUTE TO MARCEL JACOB We're incredibly happy to announce that Talisman - A Tribute to Marcel Jacob is confirmed for this summer's festival! Marcel Jacob (1964-2009) who would've turned 60 this year, was Talisman's bassist and undisputed leader. In his honor, the band's music will be performed by his surviving bandmates - singer Jeff Scott Soto, guitarist Fredrik Åkesson and drummer Jamie Borger. Bassist Johan Niemann (Evergrey) completes the lineup, in a way that guarantees that classics like "I'll be waiting", "Mysterious" and "Colour my XTC" will be played in a way worthy of one of Sweden's greatest hard rock bands ever.
