One third of 2020 acts confirmed

Today, we announce the first 31 acts, out of 90, for next year's edition of the Sweden Rock Festival.

Volbeat is one of the biggest rock bands in the world. Next week, they are playing to over 30 000 fans at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm and every year since their latest visit to Sweden Rock, in 2014, they have been one of the most requested acts for the festival.

Mercyful Fate is one of the most important and legendary bands in heavy metal history. After a 20 year hiatus, mainly due to vocalist King Diamond's solo career, they are now being reactivated. At Sweden Rock, they will play a night time slot with a big stage production.

Nightwish have, incredibly, not played Sweden Rock since 2004. They have consistently ranked in our guest wishlists top 10 since then and this summer they will finally return!

Also confirmed for Sweden Rock Festival 2020 are: Gojira, Accept, Opeth, Blue Öyster Cult, D-A-D, Devin Townsend, Raubtier, Alestorm, Clawfinger, Amaranthe, Nile, Witchcraft, Sonata Arctica, Harem Scarem, Kingdom Come, Evergrey, Eric Gales, Nashville Pussy, Jean Beauvoir, Eclipse, Kadavar, Rage, Bombus, Freedom Call, Orphaned Land, Unleash The Archers, Belphegor and Sorcerer.

Another 59 acts remain to be announced. Watch the band announcement clip here!

Tickets will be made available on Wednesday, November 27th, at 11.00 CET.
