It doesn't get more cult than this. California's Cirith Ungol were the uncrowned kings of epic, doom and true metal in the 80s. They made four albums, and especially the second one, "King of the dead" (1984), ranks among the greatest, most original heavy metal releases ever. The band folded in 1992, but after enormous pressure from their ever-expanding fanbase they reunited in 2016. They got a phenomenal reception, both as a live act and for their, to date, two newly written studio albums, proving Cirith Ungol to be as heavy as ever. According to the band, this will be their last tour ever.
