Ever since Primal Fear was formed in 1997, by German metal luminaries Ralf Scheepers (vocals, ex-Gamma Ray) and Mat Sinner (bass, vocals, Sinner) they have been considered part of the elite in European heavy metal. Or power metal, according to some. Throughout their lengthy career they have been relentlessly producing classic albums, such as "Nuclear fire" (2001), "Unbreakable" (2012) and "Metal commando" (2020). Following the latter, their fourteenth studio album "Code red" (2023) had a lot to live up to. And it did indeed do so, according to old and new fans alike.
