Nuno Bettencourt is a guitar god. Singer Gary Cherone used to be in Van Halen. And "More than words" is one of the biggest acoustic hits ever. This is what everyone knows about Extreme. But it is also crucial to point out that ever since their 1989 debut, the band have distinguished themselves as one of the most genre-defying in hard rock. As in a mixture of Aerosmith, Van Halen and Queen. Their long anticipated 2023 comeback album "Six" included the likes of "Rise", which instantly joined the ranks of Extreme classics like "Get the funk out", "Decadence dance" and "Rest in peace". And did we mention that Extreme is contender against Aerosmith for the title of "greatest live band from Boston"?
