British Lion originally formed as a sideproject for Iron Maiden's bassist and leader Steve Harris. Their first album was released in 2012 and positively received. The next one was obviously put on hold while Harris was busy with Iron Maiden, but "The burning" finally arrived in 2020. This too was praised by fans, and British Lion have now established a fanbase of their own for their particular, truly British heavy metal featuring the unique vocals of Richard Taylor and, obviously, Harris' even more unique bass grooves.
