New Jersey's Monster Magnet became a cult act even in the early 90s, as a hard space rock act. Their big break, however, was "Powertrip" of 1998, a commercial success and pioneering milestone of stoner rock. Ever since, main man Dave Wyndorf and cohorts have continued to raise the banner of hard, traditional, psychedelic rock'n'roll on numerous acclaimed releases, most recently their 2021 cover album "A better dystopia".
