In the decade 1990-2000 Pantera was the biggest, most influential brutal metal band in the world. On five albums, melding thrash metal with a Texas attitude, they redefined the scene forever. In 2003, the band folded, and brothers Dimebag (guitar) and Vinnie Paul (drums) died in 2004 and 2018, respectively. Now the remaining classic members, Rex Brown (bass) and Phil Anselmo (vocals), have re-animated Pantera and the response so far clearly shows just how deeply missed the band has been.
