NEMIS-bands now confirmed!

nemis2019

Bataar, Cobra Cult, Electric Hydra, Gravestone, In Silence, Scarlet, Sins in Vain and The Generations Army are the NEMIS bands at Sweden Rock Festival 2019.

NEMIS stands for New Music In Sweden, and the stage at Sweden Rock  is a result of a 14 year long cooperation between Studiefrämjandet Musik and the festival.

This year it was extra hard for the jury to choose the eight bands, as there was an unusually large number of interesting applications from different sub genres.

The Nemis line-up 2019 offers everything from melodic metal, metal punk and visual kei to death and thrash metal.

We are always excited to give these up and coming bands a chance to meet the wonderful Sweden Rock audience!

Eight slots are now dedicated to these Nemis bands, on Thursday June 6th on the Rockklassiker Stage.

SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 2020 CANCELLED In the last few weeks we have been working hard investigating the possibilities to reschedule the 2020 festival from June to the end of the summer. For a while it looked doable, as we received a very positive response to the plan from artists, suppliers and collaborators. However, due to the unprecedented situation it has now become clear that cancelling is unavoidable. Instead we are now focusing our efforts towards 2021. For many of you, our visitors, Sweden Rock Festival is one of the highlights of the year. The festival is also of great importance to a number of others, such...

UPDATE Like the rest of the world, we are closely following the development of the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences with horror. Our national authority guidelines and decisions change almost daily, and we know as little as everyone else about when the epidemic may be over and life can begin to return to normal. In recent weeks, we have been working diligently to investigate the possibilities of postponing the festival. Since there are so many people involved (artists, crew, employees, suppliers, partners, authorities, etc.) and there are so many different issues to look through, we ask for your patience and understanding that...

Update Last night, the Swedish government decided to - for the time being - restrict all gatherings of more than 500 people. Since then, many of you have contacted us with questions regarding how this will affect the festival. We understand that the current situation is contributing to a worry and stress, but as there are still several months to go until the festival, the plan to go through with Sweden Rock Festival the 3-6th June still stands. We will therefore continue to work hard at preparing for a great experience this summer. We will continue to monitor the situation, with highest...
