This year's Sweden Rock Festival sold out in a week and turned into an amazing event with perfect weather, a peaceful atmosphere and lots of great performances by some of the best bands in rock and metal. Tickets for the 2019 edition of the festival are going on sale on Thursday at 11.00 CET and we are now finally able to announce the first batch of confirmed bands!

After a 45 year long and tremendously successful career, Kiss recently announced their farewell tour. We are happy to announce that the only Swedish date on next summer's European leg of this tour will be at the Sweden Rock Festival on Friday, June 7th. Fans can expect two hours of immortal rock classics and according to the band, their stage show will be the most spectacular they have ever toured with!

When one of the most legendary rock guitarists of all time, Ritchie Blackmore, decided to return to hard rock after 20 years of mostly acoustic medieval music, it was, of course, something of a sensation. Since the comeback, his revived band Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow has been very selective about performing live and next summer they will play just four concerts in Europe. Luckily, one of them will be at the Sweden Rock Festival!

Here are all 17 acts confirmed for next year's festival so far:

KISS, RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW, DEF LEPPARD, AMON AMARTH, DEMONS & WIZARDS, ARCH ENEMY, HAMMERFALL, KROKUS, SKID ROW, AT THE GATES, ANNIHILATOR, MAGNUM, JOE LYNN TURNER, ULI JON ROTH,

DEATH ANGEL, DEMON and BEAST IN BLACK.

Another 65 acts, including some really strong names, are yet to be announced!

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, November 1st at 11.00 CET.
