Today we are happy to announce five new additions and re-confirmation for the 2022 line-up!
Gothenburg's Hardcore Superstar are already well established favorites with the Sweden Rock crowd. This summer they play the festival for the sixth time, bringing their new album "Abrakadabra" with them (due in March).
Shooting stars The Halo Effect on the other hand, will play their very first Swedish gig at Sweden Rock Festival. With former members of In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, the expectations for this supergroup's coming first album are already sky high.
Nestor is the Swedish hair metal sensation of 2021. The band was formed already in 1989, but folded after a few years. Recently the members were re-assembled and recorded the video "1989" plus debut album "Kids in a ghost town" - instantly making Nestor the new dream band for hair metal enthusiasts.
Orbit Culture from Sweden play melodic, Gothenburgian death metal, combined with modern technical metal. The band is steadily gaining more appreciation as a highly promising act on the modern extreme metal scene.
Horndal originate from a small mill town of the same name, deep in the woods of Sweden, and have assumed the role of heralds for a dying countryside. They describe themselves as "rusty metal": roughly a mixture of metal, sludge and hardcore.
Blackened death metal band Belphegor from Austria were booked already for Sweden Rock 2020, and are now be re-confirmed for the 2022 festival.
After today's announcement, another six of a total of 89 bands remain to be announced for 2022. Read about all the confirmed bands here.
