Announcing the 2016 NEMIS bands

Sweden Rock is happy to welcome the following Nemis bands to the 2016 festival: FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIALS, KING ALBATROSS, ELEINE, SKALLBANK, PAINTED SKY, SERPENT, FEARLESS and THE PRESOLAR SANDS.
Nemis stands for New Music In Sweden, and is a cooperation between Studiefrämjandet and (amongst others) Sweden Rock. The purpose being to together highlight unestablished Swedish bands and artists and have them play some of the best stages in the country.
Eight Nemis bands have now been chosen to enter the Rockklassiker Stage on Sweden Rock on Thursday, June 9th, this giving them a great opportunity to show off their sound and skills to the festival audience.
This is the 11th year in a row that Sweden Rock reserves eight slots for some of the most upcoming and promising rock bands in Sweden. This year, the bands come from all over the country - from Luleå in the North all the way down to from Malmö in the South.
Nemis is a way for us at Sweden Rock to contribute to the growth of new rock music in Sweden. By now, Nemis is a well-established element at the festival, and one that we are really proud of.

TWIN TEMPLE out, LUCIFER in! Unfortunately, we have to announce that TWIN TEMPLE is canceling their performance at Sweden Rock Festival 2024. At the same time, we are pleased to announce that they will be replaced by LUCIFER! Heavy retro rockers Lucifer were formed by German singer Johanna Sadonis and debut album "Lucifer I" arrived in 2015. Then Sadonis teamed up with songwriting partner and drummer Nicke Andersson (Hellacopters, ex-Entombed) and moved the band to Stockholm. Lucifer's sound is based on analogue arrangements, predominantly 70s' influences, and occult overtones. Every album has reinformed their positions as rising stars on the scene, a development likely to continue...
